Why is it important that the body have two control systems rather than one?
The bodies two control systems are the endocrine and nervous system. The nervous system includes the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and nerve networks. These parts are all essential to life and communication throughout the body. The endocrine system uses glands in the body to secrete hormones, meaning it also helps with communication. The hormones can regulate metabolism, growth, blood pressure, and digestion. These two systems interact in various ways. The hypothalamus connects both of these systems. They are important because they deal with different parts of the body. However, they both send important information throughout the body. They keep humans living and healthy, by working together.
